With the Archive Research Brief, we aim in this project to investigate the broader scope of what can be considered research resources. Research methods and techniques that are appropriate to the consideration of artefacts and the contexts in which they appear will be investigated.

The topic of my essay was ‘Art and Feminism”, Much data could be found relating to the roles of women at this time, and to a number of artworks for women, articles, and letters from Feminists. I was thinking about what a working class women is (Figure 2), about how Feminism developed and, furthermore, about how Feminist art has evolved from the past (around the 1960’s) to the present day. More importantly, I investigated the way that the concept of Feminism has been incorporated into art and the way that these elements have affected each other. These individuals have used art as a tool in order to state their ideology of gender equality in the context of different movements and media.
